So I realize I haven't blogged in a long time. I've been busy working out the first year of marriage, trying to graduate again, and make a bunch of other major life changes. I'm sure my tons of followers have missed me. Right...
Anyway, what's on my mind tonight is communication. It's something that is very important in any relationship (marriage especially). In my bible reading tonight, (also important for marriage) I came across the Tower of Babel story in Genesis chapter 11. When the people spoke the same language and were united they were able to accomplish great things. Even GOD said "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them." To me that story illustrates the importance of communication and understanding between people. That means talking and listening. It's important what we say and how we say it, but its also important that we listen, hear, and understand. When we really understand each other and work together, we can accomplish great things and nothing is impossible for us. When we work together as one people GOD takes notice.

Thank you India
Today was a good day for the ipod. Sometimes I feel like it knows exactly what i need to hear. India Arie was especially nice
The highest expression of love is to give without expecting,
the highest expression of love is to accept without exceptions.
I have so much to learn, I have so much to learn, have so much to learn

I have so much to learn, I have so much to learn, have so much to learn
I know I have a lot to learn and I'm gonna start working harder on the loving part

Catch up
It's been a while. A lot has happened since my incident with the turtle. Here's a brief overview
I met Mark Zupan. He's one of the best wheelchair rugby players out there and just a really awesome person. After his presentation we went to the heidlberg til 2am. It was pretty fun just drinking and talking with him. He gave me his number and now we randomly text each other every few weeks.
New Friend +5
I saw the B.o.B. concert. Pretty good show. Props to Katie Bickley. The opener XV was amazing if you're into hip hop at all.
Autographed pics and memories +2
Couple tests somewhere in there
Passing+2
Went to Fearfest with G-Baby and Dan. It was kinda fun. Shot some zombies(even though my gun didn't work the first min or so). Sarah's legend was not nearly as scary as it could be. Slashmaster's asylum was just gorey. Overall it was a fun evening. Bought 2 tickets($10), used 1, sold 1($20)
+$10
Spooktacular went well. Except the ghost hunter. I was supposed to work security for that but the lady decided to do a seance at the last minute. I was not down for that. I thought I would be safe if I was sitting in the other room but even outside the doors I could feel myself syncing up my breathing with everyone else. So I went next door until it was over.
Punking out -3
Saw Paranormal Activity 2. Pretty scary movie. It wasn't a film that has you screaming the entire time, but it does have you creeped out everytime you are alone for the next few days. I recommend it only if you like being scared.
Nightmares -3
Total +3
So I guess I have been doing pretty good since Mr. Turtle. RIP. We'll see how this next month goes... (I'm strangely optimistic)

Apology to Mr. Turtle
So yesterday started off pretty well. You know how good you feel when you wake up before your alarm goes off and get that extra 45 minutes of sleep? Well I was feeling so good I only took 15 and then made breakfast! I had my new playlist (flying with nighthawk) ready and it was gonna be a good day. But very shortly into my morning a terrible accident occured. The car in front of me slammed on the brakes out of nowhere and nearly swerved off the road on a curve on Old 63. Since I was right behind him, I slammed on my breaks as well and had just enough time to watch a young turtle travel under my car and die. Now most of you know me and I am very fond of turtles, even to the point of stopping on the side of the road to rescue ones crossing the street. I don't know how I could have been so careless. I would just like to apologze to that turtle. I am so sorry for ending your life. I have nothing but love and respect for you and your kind.
